Health Care Is free for everyone, and it is the finest in the entire world. (The USA is rated 37th) In fact if you don't feel well enough to go see a Doctor, one will come to you and make a house-call for free. If you take a taxi to see a Doctor, you are paid for your travel expenses (both ways). No insurance, no co-pays for anything. No forms anywhere. The finest Doctors and equipment and facilities anywhere all for free. You can see any Doctor anywhere in the world all for free.
You work a standard 35 hour work week. Anything over that is overtime and is never forced on you. You get a minimum of 5 weeks paid vacation to start a job. You get up to a year off work to have a baby (full pay). You even get time off to move (full pay). This is all on top of the Vacation time off.
You get unlimited sick pay with full pay.
You get excellent child care for free.
You get help with raising your child for free, if you need a sitter to do some shopping for a few hours, no problem, free.
If you need someone to come to your home and help you with laundry or cooking, again no problem, it is free.
You need to send your children (all of them to a good College)
No problem again it is free.
Surely this Country must be a myth right?
No it really does exist. The people there are very happy and healthy. They do not live in fear, or hopelessness, and their government exists only to serve their needs. The needs of the people, not special interest groups or Corporations.
The media in this country wants us to dislike these people.
They refer to them as cowards and such because they refused to get involved in our war with Iraq. They don't want you to know these things.
The Country does however have a higher tax rate than the USA
but one would be an idiot to not acknowledge that they are truly getting their tax moneys worth.
Imagine that this country is FRANCE.
Now realize that if you want to go there, you must wait for months and months to get a passport here to leave this country, and that your American dollars are so devalued against the Euro that it is very expensive.
